Asking questions is what our patients do, and we welcome it. Not only does this create a more positive relationship between us and our patients, but it also allows us to help others feel more confident about making the appropriate decisions about their oral health.

How often should I plan to see my dentist?

It is recommended that you visit your dentist in Stephenville and Eastland every six months for a checkup and cleaning. Depending on your needs, you may also require digital X-rays. These preventive visits allow your dental team to check for any signs of tooth decay, cavities, or gum disease. They’ll also look for any possible damage to restorations and ensure oral cancer is not a concern.

Should I switch my toothbrush out every three months?

The rule of thumb is to swap out your toothbrush for a new one every 3-4 months. The reason for this is that bacteria can develop and remain on the bristles over time, leading to the potential for illness and infection. If you have been sick with the flu or another similar problem, you may want to do this before your 3-4-month timeframe. This ensures that your mouth remains healthy each time you brush.

What do you mean by whole-body health?

At Texas Dental Excellence, we care about more than just your smile. When we advocate for whole-body health, we are saying that we want to get to the root of the problem, not just provide a quick and easy fix. Many health conditions can be tied to issues that form inside the mouth (i.e., gum disease and diabetes). By helping you to better understand additional concerns and how to manage them, we can build a treatment plan that lends long-lasting results and healthier smiles and bodies.

Are Fast Braces a good option for everyone?

The only way to know if you are a good candidate for Fast Braces is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Wade or Dr. LaDuque. During your visit, they will go over the problem areas in your smile and determine if this orthodontic solution will lend the kind of results you desire. If complex bite issues are the reason for your worn tooth enamel or chronic jaw pain, it may be necessary to consider an alternative option to help realign your smile and improve your oral health.

Will I need a referral for dental implant surgery?

No, you will not need a referral to see an implant dentist for surgery. We are pleased to provide the entire placement and restoration process in-house so that you can remain in one convenient location. Our team is equipped and trained to restore your smile in its entirety, offering a comfortable and efficient approach to dental implants. You can feel more at ease knowing that a team you trust will be taking care of your smile.

Will you take my dental insurance?

Our team will be happy to file any paperwork and claims on your behalf so that you can get the maximum reimbursement from your dental insurance. You are always welcome to contact our office to inquire further, but this allows us to provide the kind of care you need. If price is an issue, we also offer alternative options for payment, including our in-house membership plan and flexible financing through CareCredit.
