How Invisalign Works

With Invisalign, your teeth are moved into their properly aligned positions with a series of custom-made clear aligners. In order for this process to work, you need to wear your trays for 20-22 hours a day, switch to each new set on the correct day, and come to our office every 6-8 weeks so we can monitor your progress. The good news is that the entire teeth-straightening process is usually only 12-18 months!

Who Invisalign Can Help

Over the last two decades, patients with overbites, overcrowding, and other common orthodontic problems have achieved their dream smiles with Invisalign. So, while we can’t tell you for certain if you’re a candidate without a consultation, we can tell you that clear aligner treatment has proven to be successful at addressing mild to moderate cases of the following:

Crowded Teeth

Did you know that crowded teeth can negatively impact your oral health? It’s true! Since your toothbrush and floss have a hard time removing plaque, food particles, and other debris from the crevices between your teeth, you’re at an increased risk of developing oral health problems like cavities. Fortunately, Invisalign may be able to move your teeth into proper alignment, benefiting virtually every aspect of your smile in the process.

Gaps Between Teeth

Gapped teeth, like crowded teeth, have the potential to negatively impact the look, health, and function of your smile. That’s why we recommend exploring your orthodontic treatment options sooner rather than later! We want to move your teeth into proper alignment, ideally with custom-made, clear, and comfortable aligners. That way, you can see your smile without any metal brackets or wires getting in the way.

Bite Alignment

If your teeth don’t come together evenly when you bite down, you can experience numerous issues – from chronic jaw pain and TMJ dysfunction to premature wear and tear on certain teeth. The good news is that Invisalign can bring your bite into proper alignment with the help of orthodontic accessories like buttons and attachments (which are still considerably more discreet than traditional metal braces).

The Benefits of Invisalign

Patients continue to choose Invisalign because:

  • The aligners are more comfortable than traditional braces
  • The trays are virtually undetectable
  • The average treatment timeline is shorter
  • There are fewer check-in visits
  • There aren’t any dietary restrictions

How Much Does Invisalign Cost?

In order to provide you with an accurate estimate of the cost of Invisalign, we need to first learn about your case. How severe are your orthodontic issues? How many aligners need to be made? Are orthodontic accessories, like rubber bands, needed? Is single-arch treatment possible? What type of retainer do you need? Once we know the answers to questions like these, we can create your custom treatment plan and provide you with an estimate of the price.
